Qualifications:

€¢ Artisanship (NQF4) + Business & Technical knowledge + Maintenance Planner

Experience and Requirements:

€¢ Minimum 5 years experience in a maintenance & planning environment, preferably in heavy industry €¢ Experience in SAP maintenance planning & cost forecasting modules €¢ Computer literate, specifically MS Excel, MS Projects, MS Word, SAP €¢ Relevant experience in the execution & management of maintenance contracts €¢ Relevant experience in the management & forecasting of fixed (repairs & maintenance) costs €¢ Relevant experience in ARMP (Asset Reliability Management Programme) in heavy industry

Key Performance Areas:

€¢ Mentoring & coaching of plant planners in their roles €¢ Analyse maintenance practices, performance, needs and effectiveness at Iron Making €¢ Control routine maintenance tasks and perform high level maintenance planning at the Iron Making €¢ Exercise high-level control over supply of spares and materials €¢ Initiate and co-ordinate improvement projects within the planning realm €¢ Develop and maintain maintenance systems to address true section needs and to ensure systems are in accordance with corporate standards €¢ Support the Mechanical Maintenance manager in managing the Iron Making fixed-cost budget and expenditure €¢ Support the Maintenance Engineers with shutdown planning on MS Projects €¢ Benchmark with planning best practices with other Saldanha plants €¢ Train subordinates and other team members on SAP, maintenance planning and other areas relevant to the position €¢ Management and control of the Iron Making office building, workshop and auxiliary facilities
